Brother Benedict's Bock

  • With the brew: A Roast Beef Sandwich
  • Comments: I always try and feature beer that can be purchased in the region if not nationwide. Fortunately for me one of my favorite local brew pubs has started bottling their beer for sale in six packs at retail stores. With a slightly different character than the draft available at the pub, I still fully enjoyed Brother Benedict. The pour is slightly viscous hinting at the heavily malted deep flavor of this beer. The head was of average size bubbles (0.5mm - 0.7mm) but faded a little too quickly. The body was a deep brown with a heavily malted scent. The hops are barely perceptible making this a beverage that really makes your mouth water when drinking it. The drink on this beer is very sweet, and would compliment a savory meal or snack.

Do you agree? Do you think I completely missed on this one? Feel free to leave a comment below, give me a +1, or "Like" my post!
