Rogue Dead Guy Ale

  • SRM Color : 13

  • Brewer's Description: In the style of a German Maibock, using our proprietary Pacman ale yeast. Deep honey in color with a malty aroma and a rich hearty flavor
  • Recommended Glassware: A Nonic
  • Russ' rating: 9 of 10
  • With the brew: Being Crazy, or Being Right
  • Comments: My friend Dave said that if I gave Rogue Dead Guy Ale anything higher than a 3 that I was crazy. Either he has never been more wrong, or I have never been more crazy. Either way I can not be happier. With Dead Guy Ale, Rogue has created a wonderful brew. The pour is a rich toasted honey color that is cloudy and thicker than I had expected. The Head lasted almost as long as the beer, and consisted of a smaller bubble (< 0.5mm) that were compact and foam like. The aroma was malty and sweet with barely a hint of hop. The flavor was rich and delicious. There was just a hint of the yeast used in the fermentation process and hops that kept the Beer perfectly balanced and not too sweet. This was an incredibly good Beer. Dave, its always Bros before Brews, so I will buy you one of your choice next time we get a Happy Hour.

Do you agree? Do you think I completely missed on this one? Feel free to leave a comment below, give me a +1, or "Like" my post!
