Point Belgian White

  • SRM Color : 4
  • Brewer: Stevens Point Brewery
  • Brewer's Description: Point Belgian White is a smooth refreshing and distinctive beer brewed in the tradition of Belgian Style White Ales. Our recipe boasts the finest barley and wheat malts, white wheat, rolled oats, and Noble Hallertau and Saaz hops -- naturally flavored with a hint of Curacao orange peel and coriander. The result is a light-bodied beer renowned for its signature golden-white haze. Try it with an orange slice.
  • Recommended Glassware: A Nonic
  • Russ' rating: 7 of 10
  • With the brew: Catching up with an old friend
  • Comments: Point poured very fast with a shallow head. The bubbles were of average size (0.5mm - 0.7mm). The body of the beer was a lemon yellow and clearer than I would have expected from a Belgian wheat Beer. The initial aroma was spot on for a good white, spicy citrus scent with a large nose. Unfortunately the head fell after only a few sips, causing the beer to have an inconsistent taste presentation. The flavor was pleasant with the expected banana and coriander flavors, but lost its intensity as the head collapsed.
